Reply 1988 is a Korean drama produced in 2015. starring Lee Hye Ri, Park Bo Gum, Ryu Jun Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, and Lee Dong Hwi. This is a heartwarming family romance film set in 1988, about five families living in the same neighborhood in Ssangmun-dong, Dobong District, North Seoul, South Korea. According to director Shin Won-ho, the theme "The secret husband" is always added, like the two previous parts of it, Reply 1997 and Reply 1994. The three families lived under one roof, running from 1986 to 1994 on tvN, inspired by the dramas.
The drama used to hold the cable station rating record with 18.8% in the last episode, before being surpassed by Sky Castle (2018-2019) and Landing where he (2019-2020) passed.
