Kingdom 2 (Korean: 킹덤; RR: Kingdeom) is a 2019 Korean political-phase horror thriller drama written by Kim Eun-hee and directed by Kim Seong-hun. The series has been given a positive review and refreshed for the second installment to be released on March 13, 2020.
Kingdom 2 is set during the Joseon Dynasty of Korea, three years after the Imjin War, the first part of Kingdom tells the story of Prince Lee Chang (Ju Ji-hoon) and his subordinates, his lover. Chess encounters an unusual plague that brings the dead back to life amidst an ongoing political conspiracy investigation and rumors of King Joseon's death. Amid the chaos and death that ensued, Chang met with allies who were trying to forge a foothold in the city-state of Sangju before it spread further into the province, only to discover that the plague had adapted. .
