American Horror Story: Roanoke is the sixth season of the short horror television series American Horror Story announced on November 10, 2015. The film is scheduled to premiere on September 14, 2016, the first in the series. the series' history doesn't release in October. Information about the plot and the cast is kept secret, a promotional method not often seen in the series. What is known about the film includes child-related content, and in the words of co-creator Ryan Murphy, the season will be "more mysterious and dark", in contrast to the previous film, The Hotel. After photos were leaked from the set of Santa Clarita, it was widely reported that the film would feature a reference to the famous disappearance at Roanoke Colony in the 1590s. Colonial Roanoke received generally positive reviews, with critics praising the subterranean art and good pacing compared to previous installments.
A supernatural documentary titled "Nightmare Roanoke", the story of a married couple is recreated by acting. Shelby and Matt Miller move from Los Angeles, California to a home on Roanoke Island, North Carolina after an assault leaves Matt hospitalized and Shelby miscarries. Immediately after moving into their new home at an incredibly low price, unbelievably strange spiritual events began to disturb them.

After "Nightmare Roanoke" became the hit show of the year, shocking the television industry. The producer continued the reality show "Return to Roanoke". Aspiring producer Sidney Aaron James is determined to make it through despite warnings about strange phenomena, a crew member dies while editing the set and actress Agnes Mary Winstead is obsessed with her role to the point of madness.
The whole crew shot and died after three days. Only Lee Harris, the suspect who killed her husband, was still alive but escaped.
