ABOUT TOY STORY (1995)

Toy Story is a 1995 American computer animation film produced by Pixar Animation Studio and released by Walt Disney Pictures. This is Pixar's first feature-length animated film to use 3D technology and the first computer-produced animated feature film in the history of cinema. [3] Directed by John Lasseter, Toy Story revolves around a group of toys that act like humans but pretend to be inanimate whenever people are around, with the two main characters being cowboys. Woody and space cop Buzz Lightyear. The film is written by Andrew Stanton, Joss Whedon, Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow. The soundtrack was composed by Randy Newman.

Before making Toy Story, Pixar produced a short computer animated film called Tin Toy (1988) with the story told from the perspective of a toy. News Toy attracted Disney's attention, and the studio asked Pixar to produce a computer-length film inspired by the short film. Lasseter, Stanton, and Pete Docter wrote the first plot fixes but were rejected by Disney because the studio wanted a sharper story. Production was then suspended, the script rewritten, to better reflect the tune and themes Pixar wanted: "toys with a deep desire that children would play with them, and it was that desire that drove their hopes, fears, and actions." The studio, which had only 110 employees at the time, produced the film with some financial difficulty.

PLOT

Woody is a toy cowboy and captain of Andy Davis's toys. Since his family moved a week before Andy's birthday, he was hosting an early birthday party with his friends. To discover Andy's new gifts, the toys perform a scouting mission as the party unfolds. Andy was given a Buzz Lightyear space police model with impressive features and Buzz quickly replaced Woody to become Andy's favorite toy. Woody became jealous, especially when Buzz Lightyear won over other toys. However, Buzz thinks he is a real space cop on a mission to return to his planet.

Woody and Buzz get into the cargo truck, but Scud chases after them. When Scud tried to pull Woody out of the car, Buzz stopped Scud and fell from the car. Woody tries to save Buzz with Andy's RC car, but the other toys still think Woody has harmed his friends, so they push Woody out of the car. Woody drives the RC car to rescue Buzz and when they return, the other toys realize their mistake and try to get them into the car. However, the RC car ran out of battery and they were stuck. Woody ignited the rocket on Buzz's back and brought the RC car back into the truck before they soared into the sky. Buzz opened his wings to free himself from the rocket before it exploded, hovered in the air with Woody and landed safely in a box inside the family car, right next to Andy.

On Christmas day, at their new home, Woody and Buzz launch a new scouting mission to prepare new toys. As Woody joked about which gift could be worse than Buzz, the two laughed nervously as they discovered Andy's new gift was a puppy.
