Power Rangers is a 2017 American superhero movie based on the character set of the same name written by John Gatins and directed by Dean Israelite. It is the third Power Rangers franchise, and also a remake of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers main characters, played by a new cast. The five superheroes starred Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks. In the movie, five high school students are gathered by Zordon into a team to prevent the threat from the monster princess Rita Repulsa.

This is the first blockbuster movie featuring gay and autistic superheroes. Brand creator Haim Saban is also back as a producer with his investment firm. The five superhero brothers premiered at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles on March 22, 2017 and opened in the US as well as in Vietnam on March 24, 2017. RJ Cyler as Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger, an autistic and intelligent loner. Billy has become a bully magnet.

Becky G as Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger, a new girl in town who is struggling to make friends and having difficulty relating to her family. She is also questioning her sexual orientation.

Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger, a bilingual teen. Zack's mother is sick, and he lives in fear that he will return home one day to find her dead.
