Overheard 2 is a 2011 Hong Kong crime thriller film produced by Derek Yee and starring Louis Koo, Lau Ching-wan, and Daniel Wu. It was written and directed by Alan Mak and Felix Chong. It's a sequel to the 2009 film Overheard, in which Koo, Lau, and Wu play different characters with a different storyline, but the core components of the original film are retained. On May 30, 2014, another sequel, Overheard 3, was released.
Filming for the film began in February and lasted three months. On the 10th of June, a press conference was conducted as part of the 2011 Shanghai International Film Festival. On August 18, Overheard 2 was released in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
A reputable security dealer, LAW Man-seng (Lau Ching-wan), was involved in an automobile accident. When military surveillance equipment were discovered in LAW's crashed sports automobile, police officer HO Chi-keung (Louis Koo) was assigned to the case. During the investigation, Ho discovers that Law has some unidentified offshore funds and that an unidentified person named Joe (Daniel Wu) is wiretapping not just Law, but also other members of the fabled ‘Landlord Club,' which includes top business tycoons and entrepreneurs in town.
The primary actors in "Overheard" and "Overheard 2" are the same, and the films have similar themes, but the plots and characters are unconnected.
