The film is based on the real life events of Ralph Sarchie, a New York policeman who meets a Catholic priest who convinces him to focus on a case, despite having lost his faith, this is diabolically related to the events . Together, they work to solve the case and to achieve it they will have to fight against paranormal forces that work against them. The two must exorcise a demon from a man who is now the sole survivor of a small group of people who returned from Iraq, having entered a cave at the end of a mission.
