The film synthesizes documents about the investigation into the murder case of Shanann Watts and her daughters. Using police cameras, interrogation tapes, photos, videos, messages provided by relatives, Google map, director Jenny Popplewell tells a complete story that opens like a horror movie: a family White successful, happy dream, with beautiful children like angels, husband and wife love each other deeply. The only difference is that what the audience is watching is real. On August 13, 2018, Shannan and her two children were missing. At that time, she was 4 months pregnant with a baby boy. Shannan's friend reported to the police. Chris returned from work, allowing the police to search the house, but they could not find the parents and children. Instead, Shannan's wallet, car keys, phone, and ring were found in the house. After investigating the camera from the neighbor's house, the neighbors clearly said that the husband was acting abnormally so the police suspected and interrogated him.
