James Hugh Calum Laurie CBE is an English actor, director, singer, musician, comedian and author. Laurie is known for portraying the title character on the Fox medical drama series House (2004–2012), for which he received two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for numerous other awards. He was listed in the 2011 Guinness World Records as the most watched leading man on television and was one of the highest-paid actors in a television drama, earning £250,000 ($409,000) per episode of House. His other television credits include arms dealer Richard Onslow Roper in the miniseries The Night Manager (2016), for which he won his third Golden Globe Award, and Senator Tom James in the HBO sitcom Veep (2012–2019), for which he received his 10th Emmy Award nomination. Forced to abandon rowing during a bout of glandular fever, Laurie joined the Cambridge Footlights, a university dramatic club that has produced many well-known actors and comedians. There he met Emma Thompson, with whom he had a romantic relationship. The two remain good friends. She introduced him to his future comedy partner, Stephen Fry. Emilia Isobel Euphemia Rose Clarke (born 23 October 1986) is a British actress, best known for her portrayal as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. She has received various accolades, including an Empire Award, a Saturn Award and four Primetime Emmy Award nominations. In 2019, Time magazine named Clarke one of the 100 most influential people in the world. She studied at the Drama Centre London, appearing in a number of stage productions. David Wheeler (born 20 March 1963), better known as David Thewlis, is an English actor, director, screenwriter, and author. Thewlis rose to prominence when he starred in the film Naked (1993), for which he won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor. His most commercially successful roles have been Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter franchise (2004–2011) and Sir Patrick Morgan / Ares in Wonder Woman (2017). Later, he was replaced by Matt Smith. He starred in the ITV detective series Broadchurch as DI Alec Hardy between 2013 and 2017. He also filmed the US remake of Broadchurch, re-titled Gracepoint. He portrayed the villainous Kilgrave in Jessica Jones. Also in 2017, he became the voice of Scrooge McDuck for Disney XD's DuckTales reboot. In 2018, he played Simon Yates in There She Goes. He played Crowley in the miniseries Good Omens; alongside his co-star, Michael Sheen in Good Omens, he played himself in Staged (2020).
